Ok the ohio state highway patrol likes to catch anyone and everyone on State Route 33 going through Logan and ending in Union county. The traps are any of the turnarounds on the highway between County Rd 10 (close to Valley Hi and Mad River Mountain) to the first Marysville exit in Union county. I have been pulled over a total of 4 times on this road for stupid stuff like 5mph over. Watch out!

Comment (10/2005): I run this section pretty frequently and have never seen a cop (although the hill to the west would make it seem a perfect trap to catch those coming down or getting a run to go up). Is there a certain time they seem to be there? 4 times? Wow!

Comment (11/2005): I travel 33 frequently and I must say that the law enforcement uses great restraint issuing tickets in that area. The majority of drivers on 33 work at Honda and they drive like there is no tomorrow. I get passed on a daily basis by cars traveling to and from Honda at very high rate of speed. Got to get to work early to get the good parking space as well as the bonus for being on time.

Comment (1/2006): This used to be a very infamously known speedtrap area back in the days when the speed limit was 55 mph. But now the higway has been widened and the limit is 65. I travel this often between Lima and Columbus and haven't seen a cop in ages. I stay at 70 or below and haven't had a problem in 10 years.

Comment (6/2006): I travel this route at least twice per month (over a ten year period) and cannot agree that it is a "speed trap"

Speed limit is posted as 35 mph as you enter the city limits on the West side of town, but as you drive up the rail overpass the speed limit drops to 25 mph. This is not noticable if you are in the inside lane,as this is a four lane street. The police usually set up on the other side of the overpass.
