Several times per month, at PM rush hour on Rt 8 northbound, there will be 8-10 cop cars lined up at Perkins exit, Tallmadge Exit and 2-3 further exits to the north. The limit is 50mph through there. People slam on their brakes when they see the cops.

I have recently observed 6 to 8 pursuit units on m.m.27 on-ramp backing up aircraft, hand-held laser (ground-based).also, all Akron interstate hwys. as well as s.r.8 recently subject to increased enforcement.CB's very helpful here!

Northbound/Southbound on 77 between I-76/224 interchange as far north as Cuyuhoga Falls avenue Rte 8 North. Akron cops have one spotter and six or ten squad cars lined up on the ramp, ready to make money for the city. They also like to hide up on the entrance ramps, out of sight, clocking you from behind as you speed past. North/southbound exits - Wilbeth, Carrol/Buchtel, Exchange, Perkins, Tallmadge, Cuyahoga Falls Ave. - usually midmorning to rush and WEEKENDS!

This trap includes most of the city of Akron city limits. They sit in the back of an SUV with the back door up (so you can't see then sirens) and use laser radar. They have chase vehicles pull over the cars - both city of Akron and staties. I have also seen them using radar up on the pedestrian walkways over the highway. Like to be there on Saturday and Sunday mornings!

Just south of exit 120 on I-77/Arlington Rd exit. There is a spot that is right across from the Interstate Parkway Regal Cinema. Have seen cops sit in between the divided lanes facing both ways, during morning, afternoon and evening. Not too often after 1 am est. Also have observed many cars pulled over. When going South on 77 they like to zap you as you are coming down the hill just after the Massillon Rd exit. Have noticed that enforcement is higher toward the end of the month.
