The cops like to sit behind/between cars in the Metroparks, during the day. this makes them very, very hard to spot from any distance. At night they usually face the bridge. This is the bridge that sits on your right after you turn down off of Pearl. The face the bridge because you can't see them after making a sharp turn down the Parks. I see them sitting there all of the time, but haven't seen them give out a ticket, yet!
Comment (12/2002): On Bagley Road in the school zone which combines both Berea High School and Rhoem Middle school beware that police sit in both school parking lots----and not just in police cars but on motorcycles as well. They don't give warnings generally and my recent lapse in judgement just cost me $130. I was doing 37 in the 20... and though I have no excuse and deserve the ticket, I'm glad to see them enforcing this zone. (just not for me:)
Comment (1/2003): Is the law any different if you can see the cop? What do you people want a big, flashing sign that says police ahead slow down? QUIT WHINING and pay your tickets!

Berea Police will often sit in the bowling alley parking lot or down one of the side streets on the west side of the road, running radar. Doing anything over 29 will get you stopped almost every time. Also, despite the fact that the road is nearly wide enough for two cars each way, there are not two lanes, and cops will also pull cars over for passing (there are signs posted to warn against passing, though).
