Adams County (I learned the hard way) makes its living by trapping motorists on the main route from Cincinnati to West Virginia. Vehicles (around 12 of them - I counted them at the county courthouse!) patrol this area instensely, and although they claim to have radar on, I suspect they pull over anyone they think was going fast. Case in point: the cop said I was doing 67 in a 55 zone. Doubtful, and the road conditions were perfect: no rain, daylight, clear visibilty. The cop was hiding behind an oncoming vehicle. Don't bother trying to fight it: Adams County has a Kangaroo court: you can plead not guilty (and you will have to return at least three times, according to the judge) not guilty, and he will find you guilty (again a direct quote) or no contest - again he said he would find you guilty. You will be in court with criminals in striped PJ's as well. Jusdge said if you are coming from "Cincinnatuh" on Route 52 and doing 56 you WILL be fined. so beware!
Comment (9/2003): Route 32 in Adams County between Cincinnati and West Virginia is just as bad. Beware of it also.
Comment (9/2003): I travel the section of State Route 32 in Brown and Adams Counties a lot and the State troopers have nothing better to do except pull over speeders and eat doughnuts. They patrol that area heavily, so be careful!!
Comment (5/2004): St.rt 32 is just horrible and so is 52 if you have to cross adams county i suggest st. rt 125. There are no cops ever there at all. And it is faster than taking 52.
