troopers work it hard,see one or two units out at a time.i have been stopped several time for 6-8 mile over the limit.watch the west end off ramp it goes down from 75,65 then 55mph. troopers are nice and upstanding.I had one tell me slow down and don't get their attention.

Comment (3/2006): The Cherokee Turnpike is East of Tulsa heading towards Arkansas, and nowhere near Cherokee, OK. These are two entirely different locations, with Cherokee, OK located in Alfalfa, County, in Northwest Oklahoma. This is a little misleading when you state city as Cherokee, OK and then discuss the Cherokee Turnpike !

Comment (6/2006): I live in Tulsa but have family in NW AR, so I'm on the Chkee Tpk a lot. There are frequently Highway Patrol on the road. They don't usually sit, but will cross the median to pull you over if they see you. I've been pulled over for 5-over the limit, and my dad was pulled over for 3-over. They take "No Tolerance" very seriously.

go thought hulbert 1 mile over limit & get two or three tickets.they will lie to u and tell u they were chaseing u for miles and give u a ticket for running.or one just because.they have three times the numbers of written tickets as the town the same size next to them in one year.
