Officers observed engaging in aggressive driving (tailgating, rapid celeration to tailgaiting, u-turns in the middle of city streets and themselves speeding to catch "speeders"). Officers repeatedly provoke drivers by engaging them with aggressive driving. Speed limits of 25 mph poorly posted. Lights on main street set on 1 second to 1.5 second delay making it impossible to cross before going from green to yellow. Officers consider this "running a red light" and write tickets aggressively for this violation. Out of state cars are targeted and followed around town. Multiple cases of excessive "tailing" and possible profiling of automobiles and drivers(business professionals).

Comment (10/2006): What kind of idiot wrote that? Show me a 1 to 1.5 second green light and I will eat my boots!

Comment (11/2006): how can you not speed to catch up to a speeder?

Comment (12/2006): “What kind of idiot wrote that? Show me a 1 to 1.5 second green light and I will eat my boots!” –He didn’t say green only lasted 1.0 to 1.5 seconds. I assume he meant a 1.0 to 1.5 yellow light, which, of course, if true is designed to cause more drivers to violate that light. This is easily fixed by lengthening the yellow light time rather than by enforcement.
