I was on my way into town were you have a sharp curve that goes to the left then up a steep hill into downtown. As I approached the turn a semi was coming in the opposite direction. Obviuosly you must slow down to around 10 to 15mph and move over to give on coming semi,s the right of way because of this sharp turn. after proceeding up the hill a chandler police officer passed me and flashed his lights. I didnt think nothing of this because i wasnt going but maybe 20mph and the posted speed thru town is 25mph. he waited until i was at the other end of town then speed up on me and pulled me over . telling me i was doing 36mph which i told him was not possible because of the incedent with the semi. I ask to see his radar and he told me he didnt have it locked on because he wasnt going to give me a ticket but changed his mind.I travel thru there everyday going to work in tulsa from shawnee which is 110 miles one way. I have never been stopped there before because i always know they are there or they always have someone else pulled over. Im totally sick of the working man paying there salary. times are hard enough without the lies. Wish there was something i could do.

Comment (2/2003): There is something you could do - stop speeding.

Comment (6/2003): Don't spend a red cent in that town. It will eventually catch up with them.

Comment (6/2003): what does that have to do with anything? stop speeding or it will eventually catch up with YOU

Comment (1/2004): The officers in Chandler are doing a good job with what they have. They have short pay and long hours. If you are cited there you most likely diserve it. Or flunked the attitude test.

Comment (1/2004): Attitude test? What does that have to do with speeding? Watch your speed, if you are guilty then deal with it, if you are not then fight it.

Comment (7/2004): To the commenters who advise to stop speeding: Did you even read this post? The poster said he/she was not speeding. And the officer apparently did not have proof.

Comment (7/2004): The officer's do have proof, I have ridden with them twice. each traffic stop I listened to people say there was no way they were speeding when I watched with my own eyes when the radar showed their speed. (and there were no tricks or malfunctions with the radar, officers test them before each shift with tuning forks). I was doing a ride along for a project in college, and I was impressed with the officers ability to keep calm when people outright lie to their faces. I did not just ride with chandler police, but also Lincoln county, Wellston, Payne county and stillwater and not once did I see an officer "mess with" the radar. so again, STOP SPEEDING, and don't argue with the officer on the side of the road. The court room is the place for that.

Comment (8/2004): There is.....Move away!
