It is well known, that if you are a stranger traveling through Agra, you better be on your toes. The police will pull over and ticket vehicles which are not familiar. The speed limit signs reduce fast, and if you aren't at or below that speed when you reach the sign, you are in big trouble. And there's no talking out of a ticket either.

Comment (3/2003): You must have been really speeding, I have traveled in and through Agra for the last several years, and I have never been stopped, nor have I seen anyone else stopped in Agra. I have also talked to the police officer there. He seems quite nice. I guess that is just because I OBEY THE LAW.

Comment (9/2003): The officers in Agra are doing a good job with what they have. They have short pay and long hours. If you are cited there you most likely diserve it. Or flunked the attitude test.

Comment (4/2003): Who are you, the local cop or the mayor? Got a ticket going 37 in a 35 in Agra. Some great policework against this hardened criminal.

Comment (5/2003): To the posting 4/2003 I was in court for the May court date for April tickets and not one ticket was for less than 7 miles an hour over the speed limit. And it shoud'nt matter if it is the Mayor or Police Officer, obey the law and you will not find yourself in this situation, I looked even further into the ticket writing or so called speed trap situation there, when a town with two officers have an average 10-15 tickets a month between the two, I think the title of speed trap is nothing more than a jab by one of the 10-15 idiots who cant understand or choose to ignore the posted speed limit signs, buckle up, drive right and you will have no reason to post your stupid complaints on a site that is really designed to keep one updated on real speed traps.

Comment (5/2003): I would like to meet the person who got a ticket for 37 in a 35.I find that hard to believe show me the the ticket or shut your mouth. We work very hard to keep the citizens of agra safe so if you have a problem with it to bad.You are just upset that you got caught breaking the law and you had to pay for it.So again prove it or shut up.....

Comment (6/2003): If you think the sighns are to close dont bitch to us call o-dot they are the ones who do the sighns not us.

Comment (8/2003): I think that the Police Department does a wonderful job. Agra is a good quiet town because of the officers. If you are going over the posted speed limit, you need to expect a ticket because you deserve it. The signs are posted for a reason so you need to obey them.

Comment (9/2003): About 20 years ago I was traveling through Agra and received a citation for 36 in a 35. The officer stated that the town councel told him if you were going one mile over the limit to give them a ticket. A few days later I recieved a call from their attorney, who was concerned. About a wk after the call I received a check from the town for the fine. Like I say that has been at least twenty years ago.

Comment (1/2004): vote on feb 24 2004 we need a police dept here to get the drugs out of town

Comment (7/2004): 69 baby all the time woohoo
