A cop will be sitting on the corner @ the gas station, waiting for someone to blow through the yield sign or to speed around the corner. Just a warning!

Comment (12/2002): This is true, I see one there almost all the time, esp during busy traffic.

Comment (8/2002): There's usually one there about 80% of the time you drive by this point so TURN YOUR BEAT DOWN, PUT A SEATBELT ON, AND GO SLOW!

Comment (10/2003): I used to work for the CPD and that cop is just using the phone at GENERAL OIL to talk to the police station. Chnaces are they won't chase you cause they are using the phone to send in a verbal report.

Comment (10/2007): I agree, there is a cop there 90% of the time I drive by.

Next to Woodridge Elementary school (401 Budlong), there is a small parking lot to the right where cops sometimes sit. It's a school zone and the speed limit is 20mph, but it's very easy to speed on this road.

The rhode island state police now commonly use Dodge intrepids as the preffered un-marked vehicles of choice;be alert! As colors aren't a factor in matters such as this, but due to observation, one is a dark green color;the other is a dark brown....

Scituate Ave has many sidestreets that are all known as "Old Scituate Ave" because it used to be an old trail. Police hide in these sidestreets all along the road from the Phenix Ave. intersection all the way up to the Comstock Parkway Intersection. One of the most common spots is right after the bridge that runs over I-295.
