Interstate 85 between exit 35 to the SOuth and to exit 46 going North is a highly enforced area. The State Troopers will either sit on an overpass or they will sit on an On ramp with radar running. I have also noticed that if there is a disabled vehicle on the roadside sometimes they will back the cruiser up to the vehicle and you will not notice them until it is too late. These guys are pretty good.

Comment (8/2005): Well it seems you aren't perfect either. The limit between those MM is 60-65!

Comment (7/2005): Ya we are pretty good, so SLOW DOWN and obey the law you aren't perfect, the speed limit in that area is 65 to 70 why do you need to go faster?

Comment (9/2005): I got a speeding ticket in the same area....I'm not from Greenville, but have driven thru many times from Atlanta.....I don't even know where the cop clocked me from, but saw blue lights in my mirror thought i'd get over to let him pass then realized he was pulling me over, i thought i was going with the flow of traffic (since a tractor trailer was in the lane beside me going slightly slower than i was)but apparently i wasn't....in any case, slow down in the City of Greenville!

Comment (11/2005): Hadn't thought of that trick. Guess we'll have to try it! Thanks for the great idea!

Comment (2/2006): The speed LIMIT (not suppose to go faster than)is 60 mph through this area. Since we (oops, I mean they) don't even write tickets unless you are going at LEAST 15 mph over the speed LIMIT, I don't think this is considered a speed TRAP. OBEY THE LAW!

Comment (4/2006): I think our troopers are genius. I rarely see SC plates pulled over. All the out-of-staters come blowing through and pump $$$ into our state. I love it! I don't consider it a trap...just pure genius!

Comment (8/2006): I agree the cops are out in this location. To the comments above- Way to be greedy. Just because one speeds doesn’t mean it is unsafe. Next time someone is given a ticket, whether you write it or you think its economically good for your area, think what money the community gets versus the amount the victim has to pay in the fees and the increase of insurance due to the points.
