This is undoubtably one of the nations worse speed traps. There is ALWAYS at least one highway patrol vehicle patrolling this 5 mile road. To make matters worse, these highway patrol officers are rude and would like nothing better than the opportunity to throw you on the ground and put a gun to your head...even if you are an 80 year old grandmother! I'm not kidding, be careful!

Comment (12/2002): I drive this stretch of road at least 2 times a day going to my job from augusta to greenwood and I would like to stress the validity of the statement above. The troopers in this area are extremely ruthless. I would advise all motorists to go the speed limit here.This road is easy to lose track of your speed for it seems you could safely drive 70-75 MPH but beware, There are troopers here!
