If you speed anywhere in Cayce, they will bust you and they won't lower the sentence. I had a friend pulled for illegeal braking violation for no reason at all.

Comment (4/2003): Goodness, I hate going through Cayce, if I could advoid the stretch of 321 going thru Cayce to get downtown I would! I can honestly say that I have gotten two tickets in my driving life, and both have been through Cayce! Yes, I have really learned my lesson. One of them was doing 52/45 the other was 51/45. When they say 45..do 45! Those backroads in Cayce are horrible as well. Do they not have anything better to do? Both times I was pulled, it wasn't just by one Cayce cop but Two!!!! Do they have to travel in pairs?! All I was doing was speeding!

Comment (7/2003): I had the opportunity to visit Cayce traffic court as a victim in an accident. That experience was a real eye-opener. There was no justice served that day. The (less than honorable) judge handed out fines without regard to conditions or protest. She ignored complaints of police and in every case took the cop's word over the defendant. I lost more faith in our justice system that day. It was all about revenue.

Comment (4/2004): I lived in Cayce for 4 years and was lucky to never get a ticket, but I often saw cars pulled by Cayce police (in fact, almost daily). They certainly have a reputation for being hard core, several of my friends got big tickets coming in from Columbia on Blossom Street.

Comment (6/2004): WATCH OUT! The new connector, 12th street from Frink out to I-77 is THE speed trap of the area. Multiple jurisdictions trip over themselves to write tickets in this four-lane divided highway with a ridiculous 40mph limit. You will encounter Highway Patrol, Sheriffs, and Cayce cops all day every day.
