Comment (12/2004): disagree - Chattanooga has several construction zones within 20 miles of and within the corporate limits with no shoulders nor medians. Drivers refuse to drive safe speeds in these zones thus making speed enforcement necessary.

Comment (6/2005): Jasper Co, west of Chatanooga has been running a heavily patrolled speed trap on I-24 for years! Going East, watch your speed coming down out of the mountains as you reach the flat lands. Going west, just before going over the mountain ridge - in the vacinity of that big Tennessee Fireworks store - you will be in Jasper Co.

Comment (6/2004): Chattanooga has two (2) "t"'s.The 20 miles outside is from three directions. Approaching from the south (Atlanta) on I-75 at about Dalton, Georgia into Chattanooga. Approaching from the north (Knoxville)on I-75 they are bad at Athens, TN and Cleveland, Tn. Approaching from the west (Nashville) they are generally clear except for the Kimball, TN area.

Comment (4/2005): The new Mayor and others are now using bogus anti pollution regs as a smoke screen to lower speed limits.They believe the national limit should be 55 and 45 in cities, on the Interstates. Slow traffice creates pollution problems at the ridge cut and causes inumerable accidents there and on I 24 west of the city when the CPD tries to slow traffic way down. They congest the traffic flow and upset traffic flow.

Comment (5/2005): The reduced speed limit is stupid. People should slow down in our numerouse construction zones. The police department most of all. They blast throught these zones like they are above the law(and they seem to be). Perhaps they could focus on things that are big wreck creaters, such as road rage and tailgating. Just my opinion.

Comment (7/2005): Jasper Co is not Jasper Co, it is in Marion County and the city is Jasper. and yes, they will give you a ticket in a heartbeat
