Speed goes from 55 to 30 without any time to slow down. Cop waiting for the bait. This is how the town makes money. Court costs $106 and you're out the door with 6 months not getting ticket in Bolivar; ticket goes away then.

Comment (9/2005): Wow, they must have lowered their court costs since january. I had to go to driving school to lower the price of my ticket.. Court costs are paid even if you never go to court ($160!)and it was forty dollars for the course. I paid 200 dollars for getting out of the ticket, which i think would have been 220..

Comment (11/2005): Ask for the officers certification. They decline to give that out. That is your right. I was out of town and they would not change my court date, had to pay it and went on the record. $ 141.25.

Comment (5/2006): Ticket in Bolivar 5/20/06 cost me $162.05 - haven't had a ticket in 25 yrs! Didn't even see the 30 mph sign. The officer looked like he was in high school. Paid the ticket-not much choice!

Comment (5/2006): Don't listen to attornies. They don't have to show you radar certification in the middle of your traffic stop. You can Subpeona it later before you go to court.

Comment (9/2006): Is this still going on? Seven years ago I got my first and only speeding ticket there (at age 50)! There was no way I could have been speeding when I was stopped.
