Right turn on Red light is illegal at Broadway and Austin Highway. Sign is obscure if turning onto Broadway near the intersection. Motorcycle enforcement thick. Nice bikes and equipment...sorry I had to pay for it.
Comment (12/2004): Texas allows 30 mph on a city street to 70 mph(N:65) even on a rural two lane road, all other states allow 25-65
Comment (1/2006): Alamo Heights is known for having really, really picky cops. they wait for you to go a couple miles over, they WANT you to do it, just so they can pull you over. not much else for them to do, really.
Comment (2/2006): The motorcycles have stealth LED lights (no reds/blues) as do most of thier police cars... the bike puul you over for anything, but for the most part the cops driving cars don't care much until you're really flying or speeding in a school zone.
Comment (3/2006): Always use your radar detector! They now have red light cameras on Broadway at the highschool
Comment (3/2006): Also, hate to say this, African Americans and Hispanic Americans are favorite targets for harrasment, especially in "minotity vehicles", meaning non SUV. An affluent part OF SA, sometimes very affluent, referred yo by in the know locals as Alamo Whites". Also many jurisdictions come together in a tri-city affect, City Of SA,Alamo Heights, and Terrel Hills (Tommy Lee Jones lives in that hood, no kiddin, watch that portion of North New Braunfels street, Alamo Heights jurisdiction, usually not much surveillance, but when there is, totally over the top.
