Seems to happen some mornings, usually Fridays. As you come down from Point of the Mountain, there are police to the left shoulder outside their cars radaring people. Tons of UHP and Lehi cops are waiting on the 287 onramp. I've seen at least 15 of them lined up on the onramp, waiting their turn. After they pull someone over, they come back and get in line again.

Comment (7/2005): This is the biggest speed trap I've ever seen. They even have a laser speed trap there at 4am. Never speed down point of the mountain until you check to make sure there are no cops there.

Comment (11/2005): This speed trap is generating a lot of cash for Lehi. Traffic flow speeds of 8, 10 and even 12 over the limit that will be ignored all day long by the Highway Patrol will earn you a $150 dollar ticket if you are observed by a the Lehiway Patrol.

Comment (3/2006): And the good folks of Lehi don't mind having their city cops out cruising the interstate in this highly populated area? I'd think it would be a great discussion at a city council meeting....how about it at Lehi.

I believe it is 700 South in Lehi. It is the best route for avoiding Main Street when going to A.F. The speed limit is 25mph but you will get passed over a double yellow line if you travel at that speed. Also, from the beginning of that road to the end of it there are no speed limit signs going east bound.
