The entire stretch of I-15 from the beginning of the first signs about Fillmore upcoming until you are completely through the town should be considered a speed trap. the troopers are very polite, but they are upset because of the speeders running through there and there's no talking them out of a ticket once they've got you!

Comment (1/2006): I-15 is definitely a speed trap. However, I do have to say that the trooper who stopped me right after the Thanksgiving holidays was very polite. Correct, there was no talking my way out of it. I have never heard of receiving a ticket for not using a turn signal, yet I got one.

Comment (3/2006): I was pulled over and told I was clocked going over 95 miles per hour. I explained I had my cruise control set at 74 miles per hour and that we were being passed quite often. He looked really surprised when i told him, but he gave me a ticket anyhow but lowered it to 85 miles per hour. I still do not see how an officer could be off by 20 miles per hour!

Comment (9/2006): thats because you were going 90!

Comment (9/2006): Anywhere between Scipio Summit and Kanosh is a speedtrap. I got pulled over just North of Holden and no I couldn't talk him out of it either. I even asked him where he was hiding, because I didn't see him at all until he was in my R V mirror. He just laughed as he wrote the ticket.

Comment (12/2006): How come everyone blames the cop. Could it just possibly be that maybe you were speeding? You just really didn't realize you were going that fast? Maybe, like most, you see the cop, then you hit your brakes, then look down at your speedometer, by then you have actually decreased your speed and didn't see that your actual speed may have been more than what you saw after hitting your brakes. Cops are human too and do make mistakes. They are trained professionals and deserve more credit and praise than they get. Nobody likes a ticket, but don't get upset if You get caught, and then try and question the cop as to why they didn't get the other guy who may have been going faster than you. Thousands of motorists travel these roads and only a couple of cops on the road at a time to ensure your safety as well as the other people you put at risk.
