Single patrol car with instant on Ka band radar stopping east bound traffic near the bottom of a 2 mile grade on I-70 just west of the town of Green River Utah.
Comment (9/2004): They stop you in either lanes and on both sides of Green River and it is a trap I've been ticketed twice, first time for going 95 mile and hour when I had my curse control set at 80 going west bound about 2 miles from Green River,. second time he got me for going 80 in a 75 mile zone.

Patrol car typically is pointed west and hidden by center median overpass support column. For eastbound traffic going toward Green River there is a long, very straight downhill grade with good roadway visibility for at least 4-5 miles. Downhill speed will readily increase on this grade if not appropriately monitored. Posted speed limit is 75 mph. It is possible to be ticketed if more than 5 mph over posted speed through this stretch of roadway. Per conversations with other people who have traveled through this area(post ticket experience), it was "Oh yeah, everybody knows about Green River!" It is advisable to watch your speed for several miles to either side of this town. They have a State Highway Patrol office located within the town of Green River.
