The town of Brodnax Virginia is not only used as a speed trap but a RADAR DETECTOR trap as well. I got pulled over doing 40 in a 45 ! I had pulled my radar detector down a put it under the seat , but to no avail the officer searched my car and found it. My VG-2 detection feature was alerting me for about one min.I looked ahead and to the sides of the road but didnt see any cops, then I saw his blue lights behind me. I was quite surprised his VG-2 gun detected me because me detector was supposed to "hide" itself upon VG-2 detection. Looks like it wasnt working too well. Anyway, just be carefull going through this area....it looks like there is absolulty nothing better for the local poilce to do but pull people over for ANYTHING they can.

Comment (11/2005): you were not pulled over by a town officer, brodnax does ont have an officer yet. Why were you trying to hide the detector, was it because it was illegal

Comment (7/2006): They have exactly one cop in the town and are notorious for writing tickets. My company had a project that required multiple employees to travel through this little town. Nearly all received the standard "9 MPH over" ticket.

Comment (12/2006): Sorry for the radar detector ticket you got. Cobra and Whistler's are notorious for setting off the VG-2 Interceptor RDD. Advice, buy a Bel,Escort, or V1 that are all VG-2 immune. Trust me, I know rd's!
