This road leads to a State penitentary. Lots off out of State Plates. You will get a ticket for going anything over the speed limit, because they think you will not come back out and fight. Don't think your safe if they are on the other side of the road because they have moving radar and will pull a U - turn and come back and bust you. Comment (8/2004): Route 288 is an expressway located in Chesterfield County that will eventually connect Eastern Chesterfield (Chester, 1-95) to Goochland County (I-64). It does not pass through Ameila, much less Burkeville. If you was on 288, you were most likely close to the Courthouse Road exit. There is a juvenile facility, county jail and courthouse down the road.
