The Bennington Police have a brand new 55 mph bypass to patrol. It has a weigh station- which is where you can expect impalas, Ka Band Radar, and Laser. 70 is supposedly ok for locals, but the paper showed them stopping people for over 65. This is most common during tourist season and any time when lots of flatlanders come to VT. Like winter, or maybe any Friday night. Their other favorite spot for out-of-towners is on the first section of US 7 following the bypass, at the pullout after the Shaftsbury exit. Expect the same shenanigans, sometimes with multiple cruisers.

Comment (3/2006): Shenanigan's? On the bypass and RT 7 they sit in plain site. If you get caught speeding it's your own fault. I wish they would either enforce the current 55 or raise it to 65.
