300-400 feet south of 160th on the west side of the street there is a driveway to a church that is a popular spot for the cops to hide. Because of the sign for the church and a lot of bushes, you can't see if theres a cop there until your about 30 feet away. If your speeding the cops gonna get you easy.

Comment (10/2005): I agree, I have seen them there quite often.

Comment (2/2005): Around Feb 7th(2005) I was traveling the bridge, TONS of police! I happen to have a radar and it has ALWAYS kept my butt out of a bind. This time,it picked up all of the police that were radaring, but one...it didnt pick up the one that was standing on the shoulder shooting cars as they passed. So if you rely on your radar while traveling the bridge I wouldnt suggest you do it anymore. Mine has always been reliable, so Im wondering if they are using something new.

Comment (3/2005): The causeway cops only use Ka band radar or laser. The K band you pick up is from the speed signs that give you your speed when you drive past. There are 2 K band speed signs on the causeway (one in either direction next to each other). They will shoot laser(less than 3% of the time) but they have to be stationary and they have to have somebody else at the crossover to pull you over.

Comment (6/2005): There is another K band speed sign on the causeway as you are heading south about to get off of the bridge. So there is a total of 3 K band speed signs on the causeway as of 6/15/2005.

Comment (8/2005): I used to travel the Causeway everyday MANY (ok 30) years ago. They enforced the speed limit vigorously then too. They didn't like when the Feds made them change the speed to 55, but don't like when you go over the posted limits either. The bridge is straight, flat, NO shoulders - if anything happens there is no place to go, so they WANT to keep it safe.
