Virtually all within city limits is 25 mph. Tickets given for 27mph or more. Especially watch school zones and hwy. 503 just south of Main St (esp. at night). City police force larger than required IMHO.

Comment (10/2006): Agree..police force 2x requirement for population density. Lots of tickets issued.

Comment (03/2008): Battle Ground also just hired two new motercicle cops. dont know why such small of a town would need them.

Comment (05/2008): When traveling East on Main street, past the fairgrounds the change in scenery from industrial to woods tells you that you are leaving town and can increase your speed, but the stupid 25MPH zone extends well into the forested area. Cops like to set a radar trap near the intersection of Main & NE 219th street. By the time you see their car, it\'s too late. They don\'t give warnings, either.
