BPD sits on the main drag in Baraboo all the time. They use lazer and stationary radar. No breaks. Be aware.

Comment (5/2006): In my rental car, going East on Hwy 33 (8th St.) from stoplight at Oshner's Park at bottom of hill BPD was sitting at Center St. I was given a ticket for $160 for being over limit by 15 mph. on a Sat. a.m., good road conditions, light traffic, no warning. After Center St. there is a hill followed by another light, so it appears as if this a trap. Since I am from out of state, I can not return for court date due to travel expense All tourists should be warned. The locals seem well aware of this.

Comment (8/2006): with all the cars going though im glad the cops are looking out for speeders thank you baraboo

Comment (03/2008): I visited Baraboo many times and I can say that if you think you\'re going to do 25 miles an hour (the posted speed limit), make sure your life insurance is paid up. You\'ll be the slowest vehicle on 8th Street if you do 25.
