Cody, directly east of Yellowstone National Park, is a hotbed of traffic enforcement. Cody is a tourist town, so the limits are set unreasonably low, and enforcement is rampant. Ka-band radar (moving radar) seems to be what most of the local Cody police are using.

Comment (7/2003): I can confirm Ka-band moving radar between Cody and Greybull. The Valentine detector was going nuts for the entire distance. Hwy Patrol in a black and white Camaro.

Comment (10/2003): Spent several days in Cody last Fall....I saw NOTHING unusual about the police. Actually, a very nice town.

Comment (12/2003): Wyoming Highway Patrol has not used Camaros in over two years. All RADAR detectors are for is to let you know you are getting a ticket. There is no legitimate purpose for them. They might as well be called admission of guilt detectors.

Comment (3/2004): Funny thing ! My Valentine detector works wonders. I've not been stopped in the 8 years that I've had it ;)

Comment (3/2004): Yea Valentine!
