If you have to take I-65 through Chilton County, God help you. Troopers are always posted day and night, whether you see them or not. They frequently hide in places you'll never see until you get the blue light special. Beware, there is a "construction zone" in the area that hasn't been worked on for months... I imagine it's just a good source of speeding income. When the trooper pulled me over, he gave me a ticket for "speeding in a 55"... the actual interstate speed limit was 70. My advice, not only should you stick to the letter of the limit, you should probably go a few miles under for safety's sake. It's only a few miles across and you'll be on your merry way to other counties that aren't more interested in dolling out tickets than they are dolling out justice. Good luck, and I pray you aren't slammed like I was!
