Area has a posted speed of 25 mph. The 85th percentile speed is 40.3 mph. The latest engineering traffic survey recommends a posted speed of 35mph. Since the speed posted is not justied by the traffic survey, it is illegal for the police to be using radar or lidar to cite drivers. Comment (2/2004): since that part of Buchanan is adjacent to an elementary school, don't count on a change in speed limit any time soon...

Comment (04/2008): There is a reason it highly enforced, so that people who are to lazy to pay attention to posted sign or are busy talking on their cell phones will understand that we don\'t want our kids killed on their way to school. If don\'t like it don\'t drive through, you won\'t be missed.
